The farm's specialty of succulent Karoo lamb, venison fillets with cranberry juice and various chicken dishes are produced as well as innovative vegetarian meals, such as couscous stuffed peppers and crisp vegetable pastas. There is an excellent selection of wines.

The original homestead was built in 1818 and has been an ostrich, sheep, racehorse and stud farm, and today is a mixed farming operation that produces South Africa's world-famous Karoo lamb. There are still herds of the original springbuck roaming the plains.
The Karoo is famous for its wide open spaces and healthy climate. There is excellent bird watching and game viewing on foot and Anglo / Boer war and Stone Age sites are on the farm. You can take a quiet stroll, cool down in a fresh spring water pool or play a game of boule. Star gazing is spectacular in this part of the world.
