Description:
On the outskirts of Greater Johannesburg ± 30 minutes from the old city Centre and on the Klein Jukskei River, stands this prominent four-storied Castle on 5 Ha (12 acres). The main building is of late 17th Century architectural style.
Our guest house is very spacious and peaceful, with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. We have the largest maze in Africa, boasting more than 900 conifers. We have five double rooms and one double suite with private bathrooms and under floor heating. They are all bright and spacious, with traditional country décor.
Clarence:
Private and elegant, with its own outside entrance and large balcony. This spacious room boasts an antique fireplace and extra-length king size bed. Natural light flows into the room from three sides.
Lancester & York:
Two rooms joined via large balcony, overlooking our beautiful garden and swimming pool. Spacious bedroom and sitting room.
Glouster:
Spacious, round room situated on 1st floor of The-Tower, under a huge oak tree.. With a king size bed.
Buckingham:
Spacious, round room situated on the ground floor of The-Tower, under a huge oak tree.
Somerset:
Semi-circular room below ground level, under a huge oak tree. Inside and outside entrance. Overlooking the herb garden.
We also have 4 lovely cottages (sleeping 2, 3, and 4 guests respectively).
Breakfast is served between 7:00 and 9:00 am, but if you wish to eat earlier, please let us know. We wish you a very relaxing and enjoyable stay!
We are located in tranquil Chartwell West, yet close to the main roads, shopping malls (Fourways Mall, Fourways Crossing, Broadacres Garden Centre, Cedar Square), Monte Casino, The Lion Park, Lanseria Airport, and the brand new Fourways Hospital.
