Description:
Jabula Lodge (B&B) is in the charming and magical village of Betty's Bay at the heart of an area of such beauty and botanical significance that, in 1998, it became the first UNESCO-declared Biosphere Reserve

Surrounded by mountains, yet close to the sea, Jabula Lodge (B&B) has four double guest bedrooms (2 with double beds; 2 with two singles), although extra accommodation may be arranged with notice.

All rooms are ensuite, with shower, wash-hand basin and toilet.
All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities.
All rooms have sliding doors to garden patio.

A English breakfast is taken in the Guests' dining area with evening meals and packed lunches available on request.

A comfortable guest lounge is available to relax in.

Within 100 metres are two quality restaurants.

Mountain walks abound from the gentle Rod's trail to the whole-day Kogelberg. The trails are well marked and a useful booklet is available from the Tourism Office in Kleinmond.

Betty`s Bay is possibly best known for the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden that provides visitors with an opportunity to wander through clearly marked, natural fynbos. This little treasure lies in the foothills of the Kogelberg mountains. Well-maintained footpaths (some are wheelchair accessible) allow visitors to stroll up to magnificent waterfalls and rock pools while learning about the botanical wonders of the area.

At Stony Point, near the ruins of the old whaling station, a colony of African Penguins have taken up residence. Early morning or late evening, take the boardwalk to see them fight the breaking seas. Also see how this one of only two land-based breeding colonies in Southern Africa interact with cormorants and dassies, and other creatures in the wild.

Scenic drives with interesting places to stop, wine and protea farms, dunes, lagoons, lakes and wetlands, caves, wild horses, sunbathing, swimming, rich fishing opportunities, snorkeling, scuba diving, crayfishing and musseling (with permits), shell collecting, surfing, kayaking, body-boarding and kite-surfing, river-rafting and photography.
